This is an easy cheap way to "weigh" a deer and it is surprisingly acurate. Take a cloth tape measure and mark the inches with the weights as shown in this picture.
Now when you harvest a deer put is right behind their front chest and measure the circumference of the chest. Then that gives you the weight from the chrt below. This is usually to within 5 lbs.
